Learning outcomes
Clinical pharmacology introduces the basic knowledge from the area of clinical pharmacology which is tied to other medical subjects. It includes general pharmacology, an outline of medicine groups used in medicine including their indications, contraindications, dosage and side effects.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
General and Clinical Pharmacology introduces basic knowledge of general and clinical pharmacology, followed by other subject areas. The content is general pharmacology, an overview of drug groups used in medicine including their indications, contraindications, dosages and side effects, and the use of pharmacology in practice, as well as linking with other subjects such as morphology and pathology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

To get the credit, 80% attendance at the lectures is required. The exam is conducted through an oral exam where the student takes two questions. 1st question is from the field of general pharmacology, 2nd question is from the field of specialized pharmacology. It requires a basic understanding of the subject, the basic distribution of the groups of medicinal products, the basic mechanisms of action, the most common side effects, contraindications and interactions. Self-study. According to the Study Regulations, I will recall Article 17. (17) If a student withdraws from the examination after he / she starts, if he / she fails to attend the examination without proper excuse or if he / she seriously violates the test rules, he / she is classified as "failing". For serious reasons, especially medical ones, the student can apologize additionally, but no later than the fifth day after the scheduled date for the examination. The examiner shall decide the reasons for the excuse.
