Course content
Lectures: 1) Scintigraphic and functional examination of the thyroid gland 2) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in imaging of parathyroid, marrow and adrenal cortex adenomas 3) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in hematology; examination of the circulatory system; immunoscintigraphy; lymphoscintigraphy; sentinel node labeling 4) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in pneumology; nuclear neurology; nuclear cardiology 5) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in oncology - 99mTc-MIBI, 123I-MIBG, 111 In-Octreoscan; specifics in examination of children in nuclear medicine 6) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in the diagnosis of inflammation 7) Radiation opening therapy in nuclear medicine, palliative therapy of metastases, synoviectomy Exercises: 1) Scintigraphic and functional imaging of the thyroid gland 2) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in imaging of parathyroid, marrow and adrenal cortex adenomas 3) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in hematology, circulatory system, immunoscintigraphy, lymphoscintigraphy 4) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in pneumology 5) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in neurology and cardiology 6) Diagnostic methods of nuclear medicine in oncology 7) Diagnosis of inflammation by methods of nuclear medicine and radiation therapy in nuclear medicine

Learning outcomes
The course is a follow-up to nuclear medicine II. It deepens the acquired knowledge and skills in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in nuclear medicine.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - self-study. Exam: - oral exam.
