Course content
Lectures: 1) Equipment of the rescue vehicle, resuscitation case, transport and rescue aids 2) Basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults, specifics in the field 3) Basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children and newborns, specifics in the field 4) Options and specifics of patient monitoring in the field 5) Options and specifics for securing the airway and providing access to the bloodstream in the field 6) Possibilities and coordination of transport, importance of the work of the ambulance operator, transfer of the patient to the medical facility 7) Commented case studies Exercises: 1) Equipment of the rescue vehicle, resuscitation case, transport and rescue aids 2) Practical training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults 3) Practical training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children and newborns 4) Practical training in securing the airway (airway clearance devices, supraglottic devices, intubation assistance) and access to the bloodstream in the field (peripheral venous access, intraosseous access)

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge and skills acquired in the subject Nursing procedures with a focus on special nursing procedures in pre-hospital and intensive care. The course deals with basic problems of emergency care and nursing procedures in pre-hospital care. It thus provides the necessary basic knowledge pension for the other two follow-up courses (Urgent Care and Nursing Procedures in Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care 2 and Urgent Care and Nursing Procedures in Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care 3) .
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Combined examination

Classified credit: - 75% participation in exercises, - practical and oral exam (case study)
