Course content
Lectures: 1) Patient admission for urgent admission, multidisciplinary team cooperation, resuscitation cart, defibrillation 2) Basic and widespread cardiopulmonary resuscitation in children and adults and its specifics in medical facilities 3) Possibilities of patient monitoring in a medical facility (invasive pressure monitoring, ICP, ETCO2) 4) Artificial pulmonary ventilation and its possibilities in a medical facility (invasive and non-invasive artificial ventilation, types, regimes) 5) Ensuring blood circulation and its specifics in a medical facility: central venous catheter (permanent, dialysis, temporary), peripheral venous catheter 6) Possibilities of circulation support in medical facility (pharmacological support of circulation, intraaortic balloon contrapulsation, extracorporeal circulation) 7) Acute emergency procedures in acute care departments (thoracic puncture, ascites puncture, introduction of controlled hypothermia, cannabis) Exercises: 1) Resuscitation trolley equipment, working with defibrillator (functional test) 2) Practical training of patient monitoring in a medical facility using SimMan 3) Practical training of UPV (invasive, non-invasive, mode setting options, PEEP, patient monitoring for UPV, respiratory care, weaning) 4) Inadequate care of patients for continuous haemofiltration, extracorporeal circulation, controlled by hypothermia

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge and skills acquired in the subject Nursing procedures with a focus on special nursing procedures in pre-hospital and intensive care. Urgent care and nursing procedures in anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care 2 are the basic issues of emergency care and nursing procedures at the department of acute medicine in healthcare facilities for patients with specific diagnoses.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Oral exam, Test, Practical exam

Classified credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - a written test, - practical and oral exam.
