Course content
|
Lecture: 1) Cardiology: ischemic heart disease, acute coronary syndromes 2) Cardiology: heart rhythm disorders 3) Cardiology: hypertension, acute and chronic heart failure, pulmonary circulation disease 4) Cardiology: congenital and acquired heart defects; cardiomyopathy; endocardial and epicardial diseases, aortic diseases; heart tumors 5) Gastroenterology: diseases of the esophagus, stomach (gastroduodenal ulcer) 6) Gastroenterology: bowel disease (Morbus Crohn, Colitis ulcerosa, celiac disease, colorectal cancer) and liver (liver cirrhosis, viral hepatitis) 7) Gastroenterology: gallbladder and biliary tract diseases, pancreas (acute and chronic pancreatitis) Exercises: 1) Nursing process in patients with ischemic heart disease 2) Nursing process in a patient with acute myocardial infarction 3) Nursing process in a patient with hypertension, acute and chronic heart failure 4) Nursing process in patient before and after SKG, PCI, TEE, PCM, ICD, CRT, CRTD 5) Nursing process in a patient with gastroduodenal ulcer disease 6) Nursing process in a patient with celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease 7) Nursing process in patients with gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreatic diseases

Learning outcomes
|
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of internal disciplines and to implement the nursing process in individual internal diseases. The theoretical-practical course is part of the complex of courses in clinical nursing in internal medicine. It introduces differences in treatment and nursing care of patients in internal disciplines, specifies the nursing process in internal disciplines.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Didactic test
Classified credit: - 80% attendance at exercises, - passing the test.
