Course content
|
Lectures: 1) Introduction to otorhinolaryngology; pathogenesis of the disease; diagnostic examination methods in ENT 2) Differences in treatment of diseases of the auditory organs 3) ENT surgery (nose, larynx, ear), endoscopy 4) Problems of acute conditions and foreign bodies 5) Introduction to dentistry; pathogenesis of the disease; diagnostic examination methods in dentistry; differences in treatment in dentistry; developmental defects 6) Inflammatory and cancerous diseases in the oral cavity; dental caries 7) Problems of acute conditions in dentistry Exercises: 1) Urgent and follow-up care for acute conditions in otorhinolaryngology 2) Specifics of nursing care for patients with otorhinolaryngological diseases 3) Urgent and follow-up care for acute conditions in dentistry, inflammatory processes in the oral cavity 4) Urgent and follow-up care for acute conditions in connection with trauma in the orofacial area in the competencies of oral, maxillofacial and facial surgery

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the theoretical and practical issues of selected fields, to integrate the acquired knowledge in nursing care in individual selected fields.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Classified credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - a written test.
