Course content
Students will acquire and deepen their knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of ??radiodiagnostic imaging procedures especially in the area of: - operation of the radiodiagnostic department, overview of imaging methods in radiodiagnostics, - basic skiagraphic projections of the upper and lower limbs, chest, abdomen, pelvis and axial skeleton, - basic fluoroscopic examinations of the GIT and the uropetic tract, - use of primary and secondary orifice plates, - digital image processing (indirect, direct digitization), - X-ray tools (x-ray and x-ray workplaces, mobile x-ray equipment), - use of personal protective equipment and protective equipment against ionizing radiation, - local radiological standards, - administration of X-ray examinations, - preparing the patient for skiagraphic examination, - preparation of the patient for fluoroscopy, - specifics of nursing activity in X-ray examinations, - use of a mobile radiograph at the patient's bedside. Professional practice 1 takes place in clinical workplaces under the guidance of a radiological assistant who: - leads professional experience in a field in which he / she is a qualified expert in his / her field and has appropriate training for the pedagogical guidance of the student, - is responsible for clinical supervision in the practice of students and evaluates the student in the Journal of Professional Practice, where he records the attendance of the student and the fulfillment of individual practical interventions on a daily basis. Clinical workplaces: total 80 hours (2 weeks) - Radiodagnostics department: (2 weeks)

Learning outcomes
The course is an essential part of the complex of theoretical and practical study plan subjects. The course Professional Practice 1 enables students to extend their knowledge and skills in clinical workplaces acquired by studying the course Radiodiagnostics 1. The student will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes especially in the area of providing health care in accordance with legal regulations and standards, epidemiological regime in accordance with the legislation governing public health protection, medical records and other documentation arising from other legislation, work with the information system of the health service provider, providing information to the patient in accordance with his / her professional competence, motivation and education of individuals, family and groups of people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and care for themselves, measures in dealing with the consequences of an emergency or crisis situation, carrying out activities in terms of radiation protection, The preparation of medicinal products necessary for performing procedures through the gastrointestinal tract, the airways, in the form of subcutaneous, skin and intramuscular injections and also in the field of peripheral venous catheters.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical exam

Credit: - attendance at practice: 100% (duly completed and confirmed in the Journal of Professional Practice), in the case of absence it is necessary to replace the practice after agreement at the given workplace and with the assistant of the Faculty of Health Studies, - assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical departments / departments, - conducting a practical examination at a clinical site before the examination board. Further requirements for the student: - valid vaccination against hepatitis B, training in OSH and FP.
