Course content
The student will acquire and deepen knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of ??radiodiagnostics especially in the area of: - operation of the radiodiagnostic department, overview of methods in radiology, - local radiological standards, - specific nursing care provided in connection with radiodiagnostic procedures, - the quality management program to ensure radiation protection (densitometry, sensitometry, QAP, durability tests, long-term stability tests), - basic and special skiagraphic projections of the upper and lower limbs, chest, abdomen, pelvis and axial skeleton, - basic special fluoroscopic examinations of the GIT and the uropetic tract, - basic and special projections of the skull, basic and specialized projections focusing on dentistry - basic and special ultrasonography examinations, - basic and special CT examinations, - basic and special examinations in mammography (screening, interventional interventions), - types, possibilities, advantages and disadvantages of interventional radiological interventions, - principles and methods of using contrast media in radiology, - risk factors in patients with contrast media, - the specifics, preparation and use of contrast media, - preparation of the patient for native and contrast CT examination, - preparation of the patient for angiographic examination, - preparing the patient for interventional radiological intervention, - patient preparation for native and contrast MR examination, specifics and risk factors. The student will acquire and deepen knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of ??radiotherapy, especially in the area of: - operation of the radiotherapy department, overview of methods in radiotherapy, - recording materials, digitized image processing, personal dosimetry, - national and local radiological standards, radiotherapy administration, - specific nursing care provided in connection with radiotherapy, - work using clinical dosimetry, - radiotherapy planning (medical documentation, radiation protocol, work on the plan, simulator, drawing radiation fields and tattoo, photographic and X-ray documentation, fixation devices and their production; planning in 2D and 3D, isodose plans using beam beam modifications , individual blocking blocks and their fabrication; irradiation techniques, fractionation regimes; calculations of simple irradiation manually and use of computer technology; forward and inverse planning; plans with static fields; motion radiotherapy, IMRT plans), - X-ray irradiator (devices and their operation., work safety; current position and possibilities of X-ray surface and deep radiation, indications, instrument design, tubes, reproduction of radiation and setting of patients; documentation keeping, instructions for patients, nursing

Learning outcomes
The course is an essential part of the complex of theoretical and practical study plan subjects. The course Professional Practice 4 enables students to broaden their knowledge and skills in clinical workplaces acquired by studying theoretical and theoretical-practical subjects in classrooms and laboratories. The student will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of providing health care in accordance with legal regulations and standards, adherence to the hygienic-epidemiological regime in accordance with legal regulations governing the protection of public health, medical records and other documentation resulting from other legislation, working with the information system of a health service provider, providing information to the patient in accordance with their professional competence, motivating and educating individuals, families and groups to adopt a healthy lifestyle and self-care, measures to deal with the consequences of an emergency or crisis , performing activities in terms of radiation protection, application of medicinal products necessary to perform procedures through the gastrointestinal tract, airways, subcutaneous, skin and intramuscular injections and in the area of insertion of peripheral venous catheters.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination

Credit: - attendance at practice: 100% (duly completed and confirmed in the Journal of Professional Practice), in the case of absence it is necessary to replace the practice after agreement at the given workplace and with the assistant of the Faculty of Health Studies, - assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical departments / departments. Exam: - conducting a practical examination at a clinical site before the examination board. Further requirements for the student: - valid vaccination against hepatitis B, training in OSH and FP.
