Course content
Students acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of ??nursing practice, especially in the area of: - provision of healthcare in accordance with legislation and standards, - compliance with the hygiene-epidemiological regime in accordance with the public health legislation, - entries in medical records and other documentation resulting from other legal regulations, work with the information system of the health service provider, - providing information to the patient in accordance with his or her professional competence, - motivation and education of individuals, families and groups to adopt a healthy lifestyle and care for themselves, - measures to deal with the consequences of an emergency or crisis situation, - monitoring of physiological functions and patient status; comprehensive hygiene care, bedsores prevention, - distribution of diet to patients according to diets; ensuring the application of heat and cold, - self-training to increase patient's self-sufficiency, prevent immobility disorders - administration and administration of medicinal products through the gastrointestinal tract, airways, subcutaneous, cutaneous and intramuscular injections, administration of intravenous drugs, introduction of peripheral venous catheters, - activities related to the admission, transfer and dismissal of patients. The student will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in the area of radiodiagnostics, especially in the area of: - operation of the radiodiagnostic department, overview of basic imaging methods in radiodiagnostics, organizational aspects of clinical workplaces, clinical responsibility, occupational safety, radiation protection, - the origin, formation and quality of the X-ray image, - archiving the documentation associated with the examination, - instrumentation used in the workplace (instruments, tools, accessories), - compliance with OHS and use of PPE, - local radiological standards, - densitometry, sensitometry, - preparing patients for examination. Individual professional practice 1 takes place in clinical workplaces under the guidance of a professional mentor and radiological assistant who: - leads professional experience in a field in which he / she is a qualified expert in his / her field and has appropriate training for the pedagogical guidance of the student, - is responsible for clinical supervision in the practice of students and evaluates the student in the Journal of Professional Practice, where he records the attendance of the student and the fulfillment of individual practical interventions on a daily basis. Clinical workplaces: total 200 hours (5 weeks) - Departments of Surgery: (1 week) - Departments of Internal Medicine: (1 week) - Department of Paediatrics: (1 week) - Intensive care workplaces: (1 week) - Department of radiodiagnostics: (1 week)

Learning outcomes
The course is an essential part of the complex of theoretical and practical study plan subjects. The course Professional Practice 1 enables students to apply acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the conditions of clinical workplaces obtained by studying theoretical and theoretical-practical subjects in classrooms and laboratories. Students will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in general nursing care. Furthermore, students will learn independence, responsibility and integration into the medical team at the clinical workplace.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical exam

Credit: - Attendance at practice: 100% (duly completed and confirmed in the Journal of Professional Practice); and assistant professor at the Faculty of Health Studies, - assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical departments / departments. Further requirements for the student: - valid vaccination against hepatitis B, training in OHS and FP, - Passing Individual Practical Training 1 is a prerequisite for continuing in the second year of study.
