Course content
Lectures and seminars: 1.The development of orthopedics, diagnostics and principles of conservative treatment of orthopedic diseases, orthopedic surgery 2.Congenital malformations in orthopedics 3. Arthrosis, alloplastic given arthrosis of articulation 4. Infectious diseases in orthopedics 5. Bone injuries 6. Preparation for surgery, sterilization, hygienic regime in the operating room, complication of surgery treatment of fractures 7. Differential diagnosis of backache, Bone Tumors Význam sestry a specifika ošetřovatelské péče v ortopedii 1. The importance of a nurse and specifics of nursing care in orthopedics 2. Nursing care of the patient with osteoarthritis after total endoprosthesis 3. Nursing care of the patient with selected orthopedic diagnoses

Learning outcomes
The subject introduces clinical states, disorders which affect musculoskeletal system. It focuses on acquiring basic information about diseases in orthopaedics, diagnostic methods, conservative and operative treatment, rehabilitation. The aim of the subject is to manage realisation of nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, choice of nursing interventions for a patients with orthopaedic disorders.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Oral exam

80 % attendance at seminars written test oral exam
