Course content
Content of professional practice: Workplace: - ARO 2 weeks - Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology, ICU 1 week - Intensive care unit 2 weeks - Emergency medical service 2 weeks Professional practice 3 takes place at clinical workplaces under the guidance of a professional mentor or assistant professor. The mentor leads professional practice in such an area of professional practice in which he is an expert and at the same time in this area he is responsible for clinical supervision during students' practice. An assistant professor or mentor from clinical practice is a qualified expert in his / her field and has suitable training for pedagogical guidance of a student. The assistant professor or mentor evaluates the student in the Diary of Professional Practice, where he / she records the student's attendance and the fulfillment of individual practical performances on a daily basis. At the beginning of the internship at the department, the professional assistant or mentor sets pedagogical goals, which he / she documents and evaluates together with the student in the pedagogical documentation, and also prepares the student's evaluation. Clinical workplaces for teaching are selected on the basis of valid legislation. Their validity and compliance is contractually ensured. The scope and content of Professional Practice 3 is defined by the study plan (hourly range, professional workplaces) and the TUL schedule (time schedule).

Learning outcomes
The course is a basic part of a complex of theoretical and practical subjects of the study plan. The course enables students to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the conditions of clinical workplaces acquired through the study of theoretical and theoretical-practical subjects. The aim of the course is to deepen and improve practical skills and habits leading to achieving a graduate profile for the implementation of specific nursing care in the provision of pre-hospital emergency care, and in the provision of acute intensive inpatient care, including emergency care. Furthermore, to teach students independence, responsibility and integration into the medical team in the clinical workplace.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical exam

Classified credit: - attendance at internship: 100% (duly fulfilled and confirmed in the Diary of Professional Practice), in case of absence it is necessary to arrange the internship after agreement at the given workplace and with an assistant professor of the Faculty of Medical Studies, - assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical workplaces / departments, - performance of a practical examination at the clinical workplace before the examination commission. Additional requirements for the student: - valid vaccination against hepatitis B, training in occupational health and safety and fire safety. Study aids: Diary of professional practice for the program Medical Rescue, Faculty of Medical Studies, Technical University of Liberec. Student nursing documentation, Faculty of Health Studies, Technical University of Liberec. Medical documentation used in clinical settings. Standards of nursing care used in clinical settings.
