Course content
Lectures: 1) Pathophysiology of cardiovascular system (heart and circulatory failure, blood pressure disorders, ischemic heart disease, heart rhythm disorders) 2) Pathophysiology of respiratory system (ventilation and diffusion disorders, overview of basic nosological units) 3) Pathophysiology of blood and haemocoagulation (disorders of red and white blood series, disorders of haemostasis) 4) Pathophysiology of the digestive system; pathophysiology of inflammation and sepsis 5) Pathophysiology of endocrine system (diabetes mellitus, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal disorders) 6) Pathophysiology of the excretory system (acute and chronic renal insufficiency); basic types of water and salt management disorders, acid-base balance disorders; pathophysiologically important metabolic disorders (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and amino acids) 7) Pathophysiology of the nervous system; pathophysiology of acute conditions (shock, MOF, ARDS)

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The course builds on the knowledge of anatomy and physiology. It acquaints with disorders of cell, tissue, organs, disorders of internal metabolism, nutrition, immunity, harmful physical, chemical, microbial and parasitic effects affecting the human organism.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Didactic test

Credit: - self-study, - 80% attendance at seminars. Exam: - written test.
