Course content
Lectures: 1 ) The pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system (heart and circulatory failure , disorders of blood pressure , coronary heart disease, heart rhythm disorder). 2 ) Pathophysiology of the respiratory system ( disorders of ventilation and diffusion, the basic overview of common diseases 3 ) Pathophysiology of blood coagulation ( disorders of red and white blood cells , hemostasis disorders ). 4 ) Pathophysiology of the digestive system. 5 ) The pathophysiology of inflammation and sepsis. 6 ) Pathophysiology of endocrine system (diabetes mellitus, thyroid and parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders). 7 ) Pathophysiology of urinary system (acute and chronic renal insufficiency). 8 ) Basic types of disorders of water and salt management . Disorders of acid-base balance. Important pathophysiological disorders of metabolism ( carbohydrate, lipid, protein and amino acids). 9 ) The pathophysiology of nervous system 10) Patofyzilogie acute conditions (shock , MOF , ARDS) Exercise: 1) differential diagnosis of pathophysiological principles 2 ) metabolism and water management 3 ) The pathophysiological findings on the ECG waveform and their interpretation. 4 ) Spirometry and its interpretation , functional examination of the respiratory system. 5 ) Interpretation of results, case reports, credit

Learning outcomes
The subject builds on knowledge gained in Anatomy and Physiology. It introduces disorders of cells, tissues and organ structure, disorders of metabolism, sustenance, immunity due to harmful physical, chemical, microbiological and parasitical influence on human organism.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
