Course content
Lectures: 1) Introduction. Biosignals . Sensors in Biomedicine 2) Construction of medical diagnostic nezobrazovacího character 3) Monitors in medicine - ECG , SpO2 , RESP , EEG, and other specialized monitors 4) Instrumental medical equipment in emergency medicine 5) Apparatus for monitoring and analysis of blood gases 6) Modern optical methods for measuring blood oxygen saturation , including regional oxygenation 7) Telemetry systems , telemedicine Exercise: 1) Classification of biosignals and their properties, spectral analysis of signals 2) Removal of artifacts filtration 3) Biopotential amplifiers in practice 4) Patient Monitor - implementation of technical safety inspection 5) Practical measuring device with EKG, Sp02 , respectively 6) Practical measurements of EEG recording and subsequent analysis 7) The issue of flow measurement in bomedicíně 8) Blood gas analyzers - the issue electrodes 9th Evaluation of separate student work - 1 10th Evaluation of separate student work - 2

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with instrumentation (non-imaging character) used in diagnostic fields of medicine. Students will be acquainted with physical principles of measured biosignals, function of devices, safety aspects of diagnostic medical technology operation, including relation to technical standards and specific clinical use.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Didactic test

Classified credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - individual semestral task, - kept documentation of laboratory tasks, - final written test.
