Course content
Lectures and seminars: 1) General problems of rehabilitation, care for handicapped people. Malfunctions of mobility, their rehabilitation solution, therapy. Medical therapy. The basis of kinetic handicaps, rehabilitation examination. 2) Passive movement, shortened muscles, contractures, positioning. Muscle debilitation, paralyses, movement treatment. Active movement. 3) Individual and group exercises, breathing exercises.. 4) The kinds of movement treatment, analytic, synthetic, reflexive movement treatment. Condition exercises, malfunctions of fine motorics, practice of the functions of upper limbs, ergotherapy. 5) Practice of the functions of lower limbs, practice of the sitting position, stand, walk. The practice of self-sufficiency. Mobility on uneven terrain, on the stairs. 6) Indication and contraindication of medical rehabilitation in inner medicine, rheumatology, neurology, psychiatry, in surgery fields, traumatology and orthopedy. 7) Rehabilitation nursing, documentation. Examples of individual and group exercises.

Learning outcomes
The subject extents theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the area of physiotherapy which is a necessary component of support of health and prevention of development of complications during a disease. It includes information about systematical rehabilitation care, special rehabilitation techniques and procedures.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
