Course content
Lectures and seminars: ORL 1) The introduction to ORL. Pathogenesis of diseases. Diagnostic examination methods in ORL. The differences in treatment in hearing organs. Nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with an ORL disease.. 2) Surgery in ORL /nose, larynx, ear/, endoscopy: nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with an ORL disease.. 3) Problems of acute states and foreign objects: .nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with an ORL disease.. STOMATOLOGY 1) The introduction to stomatology. Pathogenesis of diseases. Diagnostic examination methods in stomatology. The differences in treatment in stomatology. Developmental disorders. 2) Inflammatory illnesses in the mouth cavity. Tooth decay. Nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with a stomatology disease. 3) Surgery and injury of a jawbone and joints: nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with a stomatology disease. 4) Problems of acute states: nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with a stomatology disease. 5) Problems of oncology diseases in the mouth cavity: nursing anamnesis, diagnostics, the choice of nursing interventions in a patient with a stomatology disease. 6) Parodontology.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The subject introduces clinical states and disorders from the branch of dermathovenerology /affecting the skin, external sex organs/, ophthalmology /the sight organ, preventive care for sight, preventing development of serious sight disorders/, ORL /the hearing organ, upper breathing passages, preventive care for hearing, preventing development of serious hearing disorders/, stomatology /mouth cavity, denture and paradont, care for mouth cavity/. The content of the subject is focused on acquiring of basic information about topical problems in chosen branches in the extent necessary for future workers in nursing.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
