Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic principles of social science research. Attention will be focused on the basic methodological strategies and research techniques. Students will learn how to define the research problem and how to formulate the research question or hypotheses. Students will be able to define research sample and adequately analyze and interpret the data. They will learn how to write and present the research report. Attention will be also paid to the ethics of social science research. At the end of the course students create their own research project.

Assessment methods and criteria

Regular attendance at lectures and tutorials, presentation of the research project (credit will be given for this) and submission of a pre-research report. The completion of the pre-research and its reflection will be graded.
