Course content
Electricity and magnetism, electric charge, electric current, current density, electrical energy utilization, voltage, electric resistance, Ohm's law, electric circuits, Kirchhoff's laws, measurement. Electric field, Coulomb's law, el. field intensity, Gauss' law, work in el. field, el. potential, dipole, conductors in el. field, capacitance, dielectrics, el. field energy. Magnetic field, Lorentz's force, magnetic inductance, magnetic flux, Biot-Savart-Laplace law, total current law, inductance, Ampere's force, loop in magnetic field, matters in magnetic field, magnetic field energy. Electric current in matters and vacuum. Electromagnetic waves. Wave optics, interference, diffraction, polarization, dispersion. Geometric optics, reflection and refraction on spherical surface, thin lens. Physical optics, elmg. radiation spectra, photometry, radiation. Quantum optics, Planck's law, photoelectric effect. Atom physics, hydrogen model, nucleus, transformation law, nuclear radiation detectors and absorption. Quantum mechanics, wave character of particles, Schrödinger's equation, hydrogen atom, atoms with more electrons.

Learning outcomes
The subject informs students about the electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic wave, wave optics, geometric optics, physical optics, quantum optics, atomic physics and quantum mechanics.
Basic knowledge of physics.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of mathematics, credit from subject Physics 1(KFY/FZK1).

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Oral exam, Written exam

Requirements for credit are activity on laboratory training. Examination is in written and oral form.
