Course content
1. Hazardous effects of electrostatic charge, DC and AC currents and voltages 2. The energy effects of electromagnetic fields in circuits with lumped and distributed parameters 3. Shielding methods of of electromagnetic fields. 4. Protection against dangerous contact with live parts 5. Limitation of touch voltage in rooms intended for direct hits on the heart 6. Basic overview of protective and safety elements. 7. Electrical wiring in rooms for medical purposes. 8. Emergency sources of electrical energy 9. Special emergency sources of electrical energy 10. Operation and testing of electrical wiring 11. Medical electrical equipment, basic requirements for safe operation 12 - 14. Examination according to public notice number 50/78. Professional qualification in electrical engineering to work in health Practice: 1. Possibility of power charge inception tools and a basic overview of the procuration taken against dangerous effects 2. Aplication of the basic formulas for calculating the electromagnetic fields 3. Effects of electric current on human body 4. Protection against dangerous contact with live and unlive electrical parts of electrical appliances in TN - C and TN - S nets, using examples 5. Circuit breakers, contactors, breakers, practical demonstrations, enter a separate project 6. Measurement of tripping characteristics of the circuit breaker 7. The real design project in a building with medical purposes 8. Sample applications using backup power sources, the degree of reliability of heavy-current distribution 9. Design the size of emergency power 10. Insulation resistance measurement of of electrical appliances 11. Basic steps in the revision of power. wiring. and electrical appliances 12. - 13. Learning outcomes
Basic overview of protective and safety elements. Protection against dangerous contact with live and dead parts. Design of heavy-current distribution in medical buildings. A brief overview of the energy effects of electromagnetic fields in circuits with lumped and distributed parameters. Shielding methods of electromagnetic fields.
Students will acquire the basic concepts and practice skills on the field of safety work on the elektroval appliance .in the normal environment and in the medicíně enviroment as well.
