Key learning outcomes The central topic of the doctoral study is to deepen the understanding of visual arts, especially in terms of form and meaning of artistic creation as a practical activity, whose reflection tends to otherwise unattainable understanding of art. It is a specific form of cognition, in which the questions of technology, materials and relations of artistic activity and works to objective categories of reality, to the point, space, time, and especially the question of artistic creation as a comprehensive creative expression, including both individual and supraindividual contents and forms of creative thinking are reflected.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples PhD graduates are able not only to develop their artistic creation, but also to think it over, to include it into the contemporary artistic and theoretical contexts and to communicate this reflection not only in the personal presentation, but also in the written text, which has the professional (scientific) nature. The aim of the PhD program is an active and socially perceptive artist, designer and architect capable of erudite and effective communication in the field of contemporary art with an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of creative cognition. Graduates may find an employment in architectural studios and design studios, museums and galleries focused on contemporary art, they may contribute within their discipline to the shaping of professional discourse, or to continue actively participate in artistic research, or to develop their artistic creation in their own studio.
