Course content
Lectures: In the lectures, the systematic anatomy of the human body is discussed chronologically, by individual systems. Notes on topographic, microscopic (histology), functional, developmental (embryology), and applied (clinical) anatomy are incorporated. Lectures are complemented by demonstrations of a rich set of 3-D anatomical models. 1) Introduction to the subject and general anatomy 2) Skeletal system 3) Connection of bones 4) Muscular system 5) Circulatory system 6) Respiratory system 7) Digestive system 8) Urinary system 9) Male and female reproductive system 10) Central nervous system 11) Peripheral nervous system 12) Sensory organs 13) Gland system with internal secretion 14) Skin system The lectures are made in the form of power-point and placed in extenso on the intranet of the Faculty of Health Studies TUL. They contain rich pictorial documentation, which is essential in the field of anatomy. A large part of the presented drawings is original, some of them are computer animated. Illustrative X-ray images, CT sections, MR images and sonograms are included in the individual topics, most of which are also original (provided by J. Šrám, M.D.).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Practicum
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The subject is part of the complex compulsory study program and introduces the listener to an overview of systematic anatomy, supplemented by notes on topographic, microscopic, functional, developmental and applied anatomy, to the extent necessary for the study of subsequent preclinical subjects (especially physiology, pathological physiology and pathology). It also forms the theoretical basis of clinical subjects. Successful mastering of the subject is a prerequisite for the postgraduate performance of the medical profession of radiological assistant.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Credit: - in order to be awarded credit, it is necessary to meet the criterion of attendance and performance, - attendance criterion: participation in direct teaching is mandatory, attendance will be checked throughout the semester, absence will be excused only for serious and documented reasons, - achievement criterion: students' knowledge will be checked during the semester through control tests from individual chapters of systematic anatomy; none of the tests may be graded 4; a failed test must be repeated. Exam: - only a student who has already been awarded a credit will be enrolled for the exam, - the exam is oral, the student draws two questions; the wording of the questions is known to the students in advance and posted on the Internet throughout the semester, - during the exam, the student completes the verbal answer by drawing anatomical ones diagrams and demonstrations on the assembled skeleton, - in order to successfully pass the exam, none of the drawn questions must be graded 4.
