Course content
Lectures: 1. Basic terms and legislation in acute medicine a. The Content of lecture: Basic terms in acute medicine in medicine of critical states and emergency medicine, View of medicine of disaster and application to a nursing practice. New competence follow new legislation and system of education for acute medicine and care. b. The Content of training: Excursion to an Emergency medical service (Ambulance) and Department of anaesthetic-resuscitation- ICU 2. Readiness to unusual cases a. The Content of lecture: The issue of mass disaster and triage b. The Content of training: The integration of Integrated rescue system during mass disaster, practical demonstration of a documentation during triage 3. Prehospital emergency care a. The Content of lecture: Emergency care - prehospital and hospital care, differences and continuity - results and requirements for paramedics the challenges of ethics, safety, documentation and personalization. Palliative care and death in intensive care. b. The Content of training: cooperation and organization of IRS practical examples 4. Checking of a patient in acute and critical states by General nurse a. The Content of lecture :The basics of physical examination for acute conditions, evaluation and laboratory parameters. b. The Content of training: Practicing evaluation of the patient in the acute and critical states 5. Basic First Aid a. The Content of lecture: First aid for fractures, bleeding, burns and others including transport of a patien. b. The Content of: training: Practical training of first aid 6. Basic CPR- cardiopulmonary resuscitation a. The Content of lecture: see. Guideline 2015 b. The Content of training: Practical training in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation using by Simman 7. Advance CPR- cardiopulmonary resuscitation of adults a.The Content of lecture: see. Guideline 2015 b.The Content of training: Practicing training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation of adults using by Simman 8. Advance CPR- cardiopulmonary resuscitation of children a. The Content of lecture: see. Guideline 2015 b. The Content of training: Practicing CPR expanded in children by using models newborn, smaller and larger children.

Learning outcomes
The subject deals with clinical states which can directly threaten life of a man. It introduces the bases of the first aid in the field, treatment, specific life saving procedures and adequate nursing care for patients at departments of emergency, resuscitation and intensive care.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
