Course content
This subject introduces the problems of philosophy and its relation of the science, assessment, conduct. The students have a basic knowledge of the main areas of history of philosophy. This subject introduces the influence of philosophy on the development of nursing. It then focuses to the conceptual models and their application in practice. Lectures: 1.Philosophy throughout history, philosophy in nursing 2. Conceptual Models in Nursing. Humanistic models: Nightingale, Henderson 3. Humanist models: Orem, Roper. Interpersonal models: Orlando, Wiedenbach, Gordon 4. ystem models: King, Neuman, Roy 5. Models energy fields: Levine, Rogers Exercises: 1. Philosophical questions. Critical and analytical thinking. 2. Practical analysis of the theories and models in nursing. Practical application of the model Nightingale 3. Practical application of the model Henderson, Orem 4. Practical application of the model Wiedenbach, Gordon, Orlando 5. Practical application model: Neuman, Roy Levine. final revision

Learning outcomes
The subject introduces philosophy and its relationship to science, evaluation and behaviour. It forms a basis for value system in nursing. It enables to get to know basic areas of philosophy. It offers information about philosophical concepts of human being and about basic philosophical attitudes in the care of human health.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
