Course content
Lectures: 1) Introduction to the subject, legislation, IZS structure, crisis situations and crisis management. 2) Tactical, operational and strategic management of IZS components during a joint intervention. 3) Activity and organization of medical emergency services. 4) Activity and organization of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. 5) Activity and organization of the Police of the Czech Republic and other components of the IZS. 6) Content and meaning of the set of typical activities of the IZS components. 7) Organization of the scene of intervention in the case of a joint intervention of IZS components. Exercises: 1) Training of operations center operator activities, incl. reception and evaluation of an emergency call and operational management during a simulated emergency. 2) Training on dealing with a simulated emergency with a mass disability - head of the medical unit. 3) Rehearsal of dealing with a simulated emergency with a mass disability of persons - evacuation leader. 4) Practice solving a simulated emergency with a mass disability of persons - triage group.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic and other components of the integrated rescue system (IRS), the scope of their activities in carrying out rescue and liquidation work and legal regulations within the Czech Republic. Furthermore, students will be introduced to the strategic, operational and tactical management of IZS units. In practical training, students will learn the practical handling of an emergency with mass disability from the perspective of the medical rescue service, as well as operational management, including the reception and processing of an emergency call.
Students will become familiar with the basic and other components of the integrated rescue system (IZS), with the scope of their activities in the execution of rescue and liquidation work and legal regulations within the Czech Republic. Furthermore, they will be introduced to the strategic, operational and tactical management of the IZS components, they will gain practical experience in dealing with an emergency with a mass disability of people, operational management including the reception and processing of an emergency call.
