Learning outcomes
Clinical biochemistry provides basic knowledge in the field of clinical biochemistry, which is followed by other subjects from non-medical health disciplines. The content of the course includes information on the pre-analytical phase of laboratory testing and its influence on the results of laboratory analyses.
Students will become familiar with the principles of sampling biological material, gain an overview of the biochemical balance of the organism's internal environment, biochemical changes in the organism during selected diseases, and laboratory examinations for metabolically important groups of diseases.
