Course content
Lectures: 1) Basic concepts (symptoms, syndrome, etiology, pathogenesis, course of diseases, complications, prophylaxis, prevention, Prevalence, incidence, vital signs monitoring). 2) Medical history - general, parts; physical examination (5 P's); general examination (consciousness, habitus, position, voice, skin and adnexa, temperature, oedema); head and neck examination. 3) General symptoms, disturbances of standing, gait, disturbances of consciousness, basic neurological symptoms. 4) ECG - principles, basic diagnosis, monitoring options. 5) Subjective and objective symptoms of cardiovascular diseases; examination of lungs, ventilation disorders, subjective and objectivesymptoms of respiratory diseases, chest examination. 6) Subjective and objective signs of diseases of the digestive system, main examination methods. 7) Examination of the abdomen and digestive tract, sudden abdominal events (history, physical examination). 8) Examination of the musculoskeletal system. 9) Examination of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas; examination of the kidneys and urinary tract (history, physical examination, methods). 10) Examination of skin, nutritional disorders, hydration disorders, body temperature. Exercise: 1) General examination of the patient. 2) Examination of the chest - lungs and heart. 3) Abdominal examination. 4) ECG - taking a recording, basic description of the waveform and basic deviations from the norm. 5) Further examination of the patient (musculoskeletal system, etc.).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the basic concepts used in clinical disciplines, basic symptoms of diseases of individual systems, the basics of examination including history taking, examination of individual systems with emphasis on physical examination and provide information on basic complementary examinations, preparation for these examinations. The student will be informed about the importance and place of individual examinations in the diagnostic and therapeutic proces
The student will become familiar with the basic concepts used in clinical fields, the basic symptoms of diseases of individual systems, the basics of examination including anamnesis, examination of individual systems with an emphasis on physical examination. Gets information about the meaning and place of individual examinations within the diagnostic and therapeutic procedure.
