Course content
Lectures: 1) Medical technology department, organization structure. 2) Technical evidence of medical means. 3) Technician in clinical and laboratory institution. 4) Metrology service. 5) The acquisition of medical technology by means of public commissions. 6) The share of the acquisition of devices and instruments of medical technology. 7) The takeover of medical technology. 8) Training of health care stuff. 9) Inner and outer maintenance, maintenance assurance. 10) Periodical electric revisions and controls. 11) The life cycle of a medical instrument. 12) Legislative framework of the activity of a medical technology department, basic technical norms. 13) The system of quality assurance in a medical technology department. 14) The role of a clinical technician in the analysis of safety and operation risks. 15) The human factor and medical means. 16) Technical evidence of medical means. 17) The safety and reliability of medical technology in the environment of health care work places. 18) The development of the first rough basis for a medical instrument acquisition. 19) Service contracts analyses. 20) Critical places and their safety during launching a medical means or a complex into operation. 21) Warning systems providing information about negative events medical technology operation. 22) The laws and notices transferred into organizational directives of health care institutions. 23)Medical means and the announcement of agreement. 24) The analyses of concrete boundaries between internal and external service, legal and economic relations.

Learning outcomes
Medical technique management, models for different hospitals. Medical devices, their selection, purchase, unit installation, operation ensuring, deletion and liquidation. Methodologies of servicing, contracting external servicing, methodologies of internal servicing. Responsibility, discretions and duties of technicians on medical workplaces. Valid legislature and norms outspread to medical devices.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Didactic test

The requirements for the credit: the successful completion of a set laboratory task, successful completion of a written test.
