Course content
Exercises: 1) Latin language, its morphology, pronunciation. 2) Substantives I. and II. declination 3) Substantives III. - V. declension 4) Adjectives, numerals 5) Verb 6) Word formation 7) Medical terminology focused on anatomy, physiology, pathology and pathophysiology 8) General medical terminology of diseases 9) Medical terminology of trauma and polytrauma 10) Medical terminology of surgical fields 11) Medical terminology of internal fields 12) Medical terminology of selected medical fields 13) Abbreviations in medical terminology 14) Repetition

Learning outcomes
The subject introduces the basics of Latin and Greek terminology and professional medical terminology, which is a basic requirement for the study of other professional subjects. The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills in professional medical text and speech.
Students will acquire knowledge of both Latin and Greek medical terminology and will be able to understand professional Latin medical texts within medical documentation.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Graded credit: - written test: mastery of vocabulary and grammar from the given scripts
