Course content
|
Lectures: 1) Field of gynecology and obstetrics, its specialization; female reproductive organ anatomy; developmental disorders of the genitals; uterine abnormalities; examination methods in gynecology and obstetrics; special examination methods in gynecology; determination of hormonal levels in a woman; cycle faults 2) Sterility, infertility (etiology, diagnostics, therapy) 3) Genital and urinary tract inflammation; venereal diseases; epithelial changes not on the cervix. 4) Cancer in gynecology; surgical methods in gynecology, gynecological surgery, preparation for surgery, postoperative care 5) Pediatric gynecology 6) Physiological pregnancy; irregular pregnancy; physiological delivery; irregular birth; operational labor; puerperium 7) Newborn care; neonatologie; sudden events in gynecology and obstetrics Exercises: 1) Nursing process in women with sterility and infertility 2) Nursing process in women with inflammation of the genitals, urinary infections and venereal diseases 3) Nursing process in women with gynecological cancer 4) Nursing process in women in pregnancy, puerperium, care of newborns

Learning outcomes
|
The course contains two basic units. In general, gynecology is focused on women's health, reproductive organ physiology, gynecological diseases. It introduces modern examination methods, organization of care for women, diagnostics and treatment. The content of obstetrics focuses on the physiology of pregnancy, the course of childbirth, the puerperium, maternity education and the issue of family planning.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Oral exam
Credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - activity during exercises. - written test Exam: oral exam.
