Course content
Lectures: 1) Physiology of female reproductive organs, menstrual cycle and its disorders, female reproductive function and its disorders, sexually transmitted diseases. 2) Examination methods in gynecology and obstetrics. 3) Tumor diseases of female reproductive organs, benign and malignant tumors, perioperative and postoperative complications. 4) Pregnancy, pathological course of pregnancy, most common complications. 5) Physiological birth, principles of birth management in the conditions of pre-hospital care, complications during birth, resuscitation mothers and newborns. 6) Sudden events in gynecology and obstetrics. 7) Physiological postpartum and its complications. Exercises: 1) Anatomy of female reproductive organs. 2) Prevention in gynecology and obstetrics. 3) Specifics of nursing care for women with gynecological diseases. 4) Presentation of the structure and content of prenatal care and its goals. 5) Presentation of the mechanism of the delivery of the fetus, practice of assistance during childbirth, treatment of the newborn. 6) Basic methods of family planning, hormonal and intrauterine contraception, artificial termination of pregnancy. 7) Recapitulation of the curriculum.

The subject is focused on basic knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the female reproductive system and theirs application to defined acute conditions solved in pre-hospital care.
