Course content
Lectures: 1) Acute cardiology I: AMI, heart failure, arterial hypertension. 2) Acute Cardiology II: arrhythmia, pulmonary embolism, aortic dissection, electric shock. 3) Acute pneumology: pneumonia, COPD, asthma bronchiale, pneumothorax. 4) Acute gastroenterology: pancreatitis, bleeding into the GIT, ileus, hepatitis, liver failure. 5) Acute endocrinology: diabetes mellitus, thyroid function disorders. 6) Acute nephrology: renal failure, urosepsis and pyelonephritis. 7) Acute poisoning: CO intoxication, alcohols and glycols, drugs and medicines, fungi and plants; Allergy. Exercises: 1) Repetition of ECG basics and acute changes on ECG (pathology on ECG). 2) Pathological ECG, care of a patient with acute heart disease. 3) Pathological ECG, care of a patient with acute lung disease. 4) Pathological ECG, care of a patient with an acute disease of the digestive tract. 5) Pathological ECG, care of a patient with an acute endocrine disease. 6) Pathological ECG, care of a patient with acute renal disease. 7) Pathological ECG, care of a patient with acute poisoning and allergy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issues of internal disciplines and the needs of patients in connection with diseases of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and uropoietic systems, nutritional and metabolic disorders, diseases of the endocrine glands, poisoning and infectious diseases. The subject is primarily focused on the provision of urgent care and also on its specifics in the geriatric population.
Students will become familiar with the issues of internal disciplines and the needs of patients in connection with diseases of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and uropoietic systems, disorders of nutrition and metabolism, diseases of the endocrine glands, poisoning and infectious diseases and the provision of emergency care for the geriatric population.
