Course content
Lectures: 1) Approach to a patient with chest pain. 2) Approach to the patient with syncope and palpitations. 3) Approach to patient with sepsis/infection and fever. 4) Access to a patient with shortness of breath. 5) Access to a patient with acute poisoning/intoxication and impaired consciousness. 6) Access to a patient in a state of shock and with an allergic reaction. 7) Specificity of symptoms in the geriatric population + selected chapters as agreed. Exercises: 1) Repeat ECG, care for patient with chest pain. 2) Repeating the ECG, caring for the patient with syncope and palpitations. 3) Repeat ECG, care of patient with sepsis/infection and fever. 4) Repeat ECG, care for patient with shortness of breath. 5) Repeating the ECG, caring for a patient with poisoning/intoxication and impaired consciousness. 6) Repeating the ECG, caring for a patient with a shock state and an allergic reaction. 7) Repetition of ECG, care of an acute geriatric patient + selected chapters as agreed.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issues of internal disciplines and the needs of patients in connection with diseases of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and uropoietic systems, nutritional and metabolic disorders, diseases of the endocrine glands, poisoning and infectious diseases. The subject is primarily focused on the provision of urgent care and also on its specifics in the geriatric population.
Students will become familiar with the issues of internal disciplines and the needs of patients in connection with diseases of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive and uropoietic systems, disorders of nutrition and metabolism, diseases of the endocrine glands, poisoning and infectious diseases and the provision of emergency care for the geriatric population.
