Course content
Lectures: 1) Basics of general neurology; field specialization; basics of clinical examination, clinical images in neurological ones disease. 2) Auxiliary examination methods in neurology (CT, MR, EEG, EMG, sonography ...); modern trends in diagnostics and therapy of cerebrovascular diseases. 3) Strokes. 4) Expansive processes of the CNS; epilepsy; craniocerebral injury. 5) Infectious diseases of the brain and meninges. 6) Vertebrogenic disease; diseases of the skeletal muscle system. 7) Demyelinating and degenerative diseases of the CNS; extrapyramidal system and its disorders. Exercises: 1) Immediate and follow-up care for a patient with a stroke. 2) Immediate and follow-up care for a patient with intracranial hypertension (including the specifics of nursing care for an ICP sensor). 3) Immediate and follow-up care for a patient with an epileptic seizure. 4) Immediate and follow-up care for a patient with dorsalgia.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to get acquainted with the theoretical and practical issues of the field of neurology, to integrate the acquired knowledge in nursing care in the field of neurology, use selected theories and nursing models, characterize specifics nursing process in neurological nursing
The student will become familiar with the theoretical and practical issues of the field of neurology and the integration of acquired knowledge in nursing care in the field of neurology.
