Course content
Lectures: 1) Suffocation with upper airway obstruction. 2) Suffocation with lower airway obstruction. 3) Poisoning, dehydration, shock, invasive meningococcal disease. 4) Injuries in children (except KCT), diagnosis and treatment in PNP, burn injury, transport. 5) Craniocerebral trauma. 6) Neurointensive care, complications of CCT. 7) Pharmacotherapy in pediatrics, drug dosing in PNP. Exercises: 1) Pre-hospital and hospital care for a pediatric patient with upper and lower airway obstruction. Pre-hospital and hospital care in a pediatric patient with acute conditions associated with diabetes mellitus. 2) Pre-hospital and hospital care for a pediatric patient with intoxication. Pre-hospital and in-hospital care of a pediatric patient in a state of shock. 3) Pre-hospital and in-hospital care for pediatric patients with impaired consciousness. Pre-hospital and in-hospital care for pediatric patients with convulsions. 4) Pre-hospital and in-hospital pediatric care in the framework of traumatic conditions. Repetition.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with pediatric issues in the context of acute conditions and to implement nursing process in individual diseases. The theoretical-practical course is designed to familiarize students with the specifics emergency care provided to pediatric patients with an emphasis on practical use.
Students will become familiar with the specifics of providing emergency care to a pediatric patient, with pediatric issues within acute conditions and the implementation of the nursing process for individual diseases.
