Course content
|
Lectures: 1) Introduction to otorhinolaryngology; disease pathogenesis; diagnostic examination methods in ENT. 2) Issues of acute conditions and foreign bodies. 3) Introduction to dentistry; disease pathogenesis; diagnostic examination methods in dentistry; differences treatments in dentistry; developmental defects, tooth decay. 4) Issues of acute conditions in dentistry. 5) Infectious medicine and its content, classification among medical disciplines, diagnostic methods. 6) Infectious diseases, legislative and moral aspects of the disease. 7) The issue of HIV disease. Exercises: 1) Urgent and follow-up care for acute conditions in otorhinolaryngology. 2) Specifics of nursing care for patients with otorhinolaryngological diseases. 3) Urgent and follow-up care for acute conditions in dentistry, inflammatory processes in the oral cavity. 4) Urgent and follow-up care for acute conditions in connection with trauma in the orofacial area in oral competences, maxillofacial surgery. 5) Prevention in infectious medicine, patient preparation before and after examination, barrier nursing. 6) Psychological aspects of an infectious disease, the necessity of isolation, communication and contact with the sick family. 7) Specifics of emergency care for a patient with an infectious disease, nursing process for a patient with HIV.

The aim of the subject is to familiarize with the theoretical and practical issues of selected fields, to integrate the acquired knowledge in emergency and nursing care in individual selected fields.
