Course content
Lecture: 1) Skin, clinical morphology; current clinical condition of the skin; pathogenesis of skin disorders; standard diagnostic examination, procedures, tests; principles of skin diseases treatment 2) Skin diseases parasitic, fungal, bacterial, viral; nevi, benign and malignant skin tumors; erythematopapulo-squamous diseases, bullous dermatitis, acne and facial dermatoses 3) Eczema and dermatitis, drug exanthemas; acute and urgent care in septic conditions in dermatovenerology; specifics of skin care with impaired skin integrity 4) Venereal diseases 5) Anatomy of the eye; pathogenesis of eye disorders 6) Standard diagnostic examination, tests; principles of eye diseases treatment 7) Urgent and follow-up care in patients with eye injury Exercises: 1) Specifics of approach to a patient diagnosed with scabies, syphilitis, gonorrhoea 2) Urgent and follow-up care in acute dermatovenerological diseases 3) Principles of communication in patients with visual impairment 4) Urgent and follow-up care in patients with eye injury

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with theoretical and practical problems of selected fields, integrate the acquired knowledge in nursing care, including urgent, individual selected fields.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Test

Classified credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - a written test.
