Lectures: 1) Anemia, bleeding diseases, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura; tumors of childhood, except the central nervous system 2) Rheumatic diseases and allergies; the most common hereditary metabolic disorders 3) Acute conditions in paediatrics (suffocation, coma, seizures, sepsis, dehydration, anaphylaxis), newborn resuscitation and resuscitation of children, intensive care after cardiopulmonary resuscitation 4) Respiratory diseases; heart defects, syncopes, collapse states 5) Surgery in paediatrics (pylorostenosis, invagination, appendicitis); urogenital tract diseases 6) Nervous system diseases, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, neuroinfection Exercises: 1) Nursing process in children with anemia, bleeding disease 2) Nursing process in children with tumor; nursing process in children with allergies and the most common metabolic disorders 3) Nursing process in children with acute conditions, cardiopulmonary resuscitation of children 4) Nursing process in children with respiratory diseases; nursing process in children with heart disease 5) Nursing process in children with surgical disease (pylorostenosis, invagination, appendicitis) 6) Nursing process in children with diseases of the urogenital tract; nursing process in children with diseases of the nervous system

Learning outcomes
|
The subject Nursing Care in Paediatrics 1-2 is conceived as theoretical and practical. It is part of a complex of subjects from clinical nursing. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to emphasize the peculiarities of the disease and nursing care in individual developmental periods of childhood. It acquaints students with the development of a healthy and ill child, with care for the child's health, disease prevention and childhood diseases throughout the spectrum of clinical disciplines. Emphasis is placed on the differences of individual needs of children and the way of their satisfaction, raising children, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, including the diversity of multidisciplinary care in outpatient, day and in-patient care, including care for children under 3 years of age in collective care facilities.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Oral exam
