Course content
Workplace: . Departments of internal medicine, departments of surgery incl. traumatology, emergency admission - 4 weeks. Individual professional practice 1 takes place at clinical workplaces under the guidance of a professional mentor or professional assistant. The mentor leads a professional practice in an area in which he is an expert and at the same time is responsible for clinical supervision during the practice students. The assistant professor or mentor evaluates the student in the Journal of professional practice, where he records the student's attendance daily and fulfillment of individual practical performances. When starting practice at the department, the assistant professor or mentor sets pedagogical goals, which he documents and evaluates together with the student in the pedagogical documentation, as well as prepares the student's assessment. Clinical workplaces for teaching are selected on the basis of valid legislation. Their validity and compliance is contractually guaranteed. The scope and content of Individual Professional Practice 1 is defined by the study plan (time range, professional workplaces) and the TUL schedule (time distribution). Completion of individual professional practice 1 is a condition for continuing in the 2nd year of study

Learning outcomes
The subject is a basic part of the complex of theoretical and practical subjects of the study plan. The subject enables students to apply acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the conditions of clinical workplaces. The aim of the course is the acquisition and improvement of practical skills and habits leading to the acquisition of a graduate profile. Furthermore, to teach students independence, responsibility and inclusion in the medical team at the clinical workplace.
The student will learn independence, responsibility and inclusion in the medical team at the clinical workplace, learn to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the conditions of clinical workplaces.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites: Nursing Procedures 1, Nursing Procedures 2, Professional practice 1, Professional practice 2 . valid vaccination against hepatitis B, . training in Safety and Health protection during work and Fire protection . before starting the internship, the student must have a contract on securing professional experience signed by both parties

. attendance at practice: 100% (duly completed and confirmed in the Journal of professional practice), in case of absence, it is necessary to replace the practice after agreement at the given workplace . assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical workplaces/departments
