Course content
|
As part of nursing practice, the student will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes, especially in the areas of: - providing health care in accordance with legal regulations and standards, - compliance with the hygiene and epidemiological regime in accordance with legal regulations governing the protection of public health, - entries in medical documentation and other documentation resulting from other legal regulations, working with the information system of the health service provider, - providing information to the patient in accordance with their professional competence, - motivation and education of individuals, families and groups of people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and take care of themselves, - measures to deal with the consequences of an emergency or crisis situation, - monitoring the physiological functions and condition of patients; comprehensive hygiene care, prevention of bedsores, - distributing food to patients according to diets, supervising compliance with the drinking regime; ensuring the application of heat and cold, - self-care training with the aim of increasing the patient's self-sufficiency, preventing disorders due to immobility - administering and applying medications through the digestive tract, respiratory tract, in the form of subcutaneous, cutaneous and intramuscular injections, applying intravenous medications, inserting peripheral venous catheters, - activities associated with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Individual professional practice 1 takes place in clinical workplaces under the guidance of a professional mentor and radiological assistant Clinical workplaces: 52 hours in total (1.3 weeks) - Practical preparation for professional practice: 4 hours - Surgical workplaces: 16 hours - Internal medicine workplaces: 16 hours - Pediatrics workplace: 8 hours - Intensive care workplace: 8 hours

Learning outcomes
|
The course is an essential part of the complex of theoretical and practical study plan subjects. The course Professional Practice 1 enables students to apply acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the conditions of clinical workplaces obtained by studying theoretical and theoretical-practical subjects in classrooms and laboratories.
Students will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in general nursing care, learn independence, responsibility and integration into the healthcare team in the clinical workplace.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student's performance analysis, Systematické pozorování studenta
Credit: - attendance at the internship: 100% (properly completed and confirmed in the Professional Practice Diary), in case of absence, the internship must be replaced after agreement at the given workplace and with the assistant professor of the Faculty of Health Studies, - assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical workplaces/departments. Further requirements for the student: - valid vaccination against hepatitis B, training in OHS and FP, - Passing Individual Practical Training 1 is a prerequisite for continuing in the second year of study.
