Infections associated with providing health care, asepse, disinfection, sterilization. Professional introduction to the issue of patient hygiene. 2) Positioning, therapeutic rehabilitation in the patient, explanation of the concept of decubitus and soreness, DK bandages. Professional introduction to physiological functions. 3) Vaccination of urine and faeces of the patient, urine and faeces. 4) Introduction to Hydration and Nutrition of the Patient - General Overview. 5) Introduction to drug application. Oxygen therapy. 6) Introduction to infusion therapy. Peripheral venous catheter, central venous catheter. 7) Professional introduction to issues of collection, transport, storage of biological material. Exercises: 1) Introduction, care unit, bed and its accessories, visit, barrier nursing care, antisepsis, sepsis, disinfection, sterilization. 2) Nursing care for the provision of hygienic care in an adult patient. 3) Nursing care for hygienic care in a child patient (measurement and weighing), application of heat and cold. 4) Positioning, therapeutic rehabilitation in a patient, DK bandages, assessment scales, predilection sites of decubitus formation. Fundamentals of kinestetic mobilization. 5) Nursing care for physiological functions in the patient. 6) Nursing care for urinary emptying, catheterization, urine collection. 7) Nursing care for stool emptying. Subscriptions to stools, klyzma. 8) Nursing care for nutrition and hydration of the patient, principles of diet and fluid, sipping. 9) Drug administration (in form of per os, i.d., s.c. i.m.). 10) Procedure for application of i.v. drugs, oxygen therapy and inhalation techniques. 11) Infusion, care for venous catheters. 12) Procedure for biological material sampling (swabs, swabs, sputum, vomiting). 13) Procedure for the collection of biological material (blood sampling).
