Course content
Content of professional practice: Workplace: Intensive care workplaces (including emergency admission) (4 weeks) Emergency medical service (2 weeks) Course: Army of the Czech Republic (radiation, chemical and biological protection, etc.) (1 week) Professional practice 5 takes place in clinical workplaces under the guidance of a mentor or assistant. The mentor conducts professional practice in a field of professional practice in which he is an expert and at the same time is responsible for clinical supervision in the practice of students. A clinical assistant professor or mentor is a qualified expert in his / her field and has suitable preparation for the pedagogical guidance of the student. The assistant or mentor evaluates the student in the Journal of Professional Practice, where he / she records the student's attendance and performance of individual practical activities on a daily basis. At the beginning of the practice at the department, the assistant or mentor sets pedagogical goals, which he documents and evaluates together with the student in the pedagogical documentation, and also elaborates the student's evaluation. Clinical workplaces are selected on the basis of valid legislation. Their validity and compliance is contractually ensured. The scope and content of Professional Practice 5 is defined by the curriculum (hourly scope, specialized workplaces) and the TUL schedule (timing).

Learning outcomes
The course is an essential part of the complex of theoretical and practical study plan subjects. The course enables students to apply acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the conditions of clinical workplaces obtained by studying theoretical and theoretical-practical subjects. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire and improve practical skills and habits leading to the graduate profile for specific nursing care in the provision of pre-hospital emergency care, as well as in the provision of intensive acute bed care, including emergency care. Furthermore, to teach students independence, responsibility and inclusion in the medical team at the clinical workplace.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical exam

Classified credit: - Attendance at practice: 100% (duly completed and confirmed in the Professional Practice Log), in the case of absence it is necessary to consult the practice upon agreement at the given workplace and with the assistant of the Faculty of Health Studies, - assessment of knowledge and skills for individual clinical departments / departments, - conducting a practical examination at a clinical site before the examination board. Further requirements for the student: - valid vaccination against hepatitis B, training in OSH and FP.
