Course content
|
Exercises: 1) Principles of intensive care in spinal cord injury. 2) Therapeutic and diagnostic tools. 3) Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for acute spinal injury conditions. 4) Spinal program of the Czech Republic. 5) Nursing management of paraplegic and tetraplegic patients. 6) Physiotherapy, occupational therapy. 7) Practical training in spinal patient care.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject deals with principles of intensive care of spinal wounds, diagnostics and therapeutic methods and procedures during acute states of spinal wounds, nursing procedures for paraplegic and quadriplegic patients.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.
