Course content

Lectures: 1) Basic philosophy of nursing, meta-paradigm and paradigm of nursing. 2) Nursing methodology, basics of the nursing process (NANDA). 3) Basics of nursing research based on the EBN principle. 4) The development and present of the nursing profession and nursing practice. 5) Development and present education of the nursing profession. 6) Ethical principles of nursing and the ICN code of ethics. 7) Basics of nursing management. 8) National and international organizations of nurses and their cooperation. 9) Nursing in a historical context. 10) Multidisciplinary cooperation within nursing.

To present the basic aspects of the nursing meta-paradigm: the person (patient), his health and illness in relation to nursing (care) and the environment. To explain nursing, as a scientific field that has its history and a defined direction of development, based on research methods. To familiarize with the concept of nursing, to define the forms of education in theory and practice. Orientation in professional nursing national and international organizations
The student will acquire knowledge about the basic aspects of nursing, about nursing as a scientific field that has its own history and a defined direction of development. Get to know the concept of nursing and orientate yourself in professional nursing national and international organizations.
