Course content
Lectures: 1) Urgent reception and cooperation of a multidisciplinary team. 2) Diagnosis and therapy in patients with circulatory arrest - BLS, ALS. 3) Diagnosis and therapy in patients with acute coronary syndrome and heart failure. 4) Diagnosis and therapy in patients with bronchial asthma exacerbation, COPD and respiratory failure. 5) Diagnosis and therapy in patients with CMP, with impaired consciousness, with decompensation of the mental state and intoxicated patients. 6) Diagnosis and therapy in patients with DM decompensation, hypertensive crisis and allergic reaction. 7) Diagnosis and therapy in patients with craniotrauma, polytrauma and with greater blood loss. Exercises: 1) Simulation of the operation of the emergency department. 2) Caring for a patient with circulatory arrest - BLS, ALS. 3) Care of a patient with acute coronary syndrome and heart failure. 4) Care of a patient with exacerbation of bronchial asthma, COPD and respiratory failure. 5) Care of patients with CMP, impaired consciousness, decompensated mental status and intoxicated patients. 6) Care of a patient with DM decompensation, with a hypertensive crisis and with an allergic reaction. 7) Care of a patient with craniotrauma, with polytrauma and with greater blood loss.

Learning outcomes
Emergency medicine deals with the multidisciplinary issues of diagnosis, primary treatment and treatment of suddenly occurring conditions, conditions of immediate threat to life and all sudden diseases and injuries at the scene of the event, during transport disabled using the ground or air means of the medical rescue service and during the transition from the pre-hospital to hospital care. It also deals with the planning, organization and management of rescue operations during mass disasters and accidents, as an activity of the mountain service. Thematically, it is closely connected with war medicine and forensic medicine. The subject is focused on emergency reception.
The student will acquire information and practical experience regarding emergency patient admission
Prerequisites
A condition for enrolling in the subject is a successfully passed exam in the First Aid subject (FZS/PP).
