Course content
|
Lectures: 1) Air ambulance service and its role in ZZS. 2) Definition of the competencies and job duties of a paramedic within the air ambulance service. 3) The Mountain Service, its competence and position within the IZS. 4) Theoretical introduction to avalanche issues. 5) Basic terminology and familiarization with cartography and topography as a scientific field. 6) Geographic security products, Global Positioning System (GPS). 7) Measurement on maps, orientation in terrain, azimuth. Exercises: 1) Case reports with examples of air ambulance intervention. 2) Practical examples of the cooperation of the air rescue service with the components of the integrated rescue system (securing the place of landing, take-off, etc.). 3) Specifics of the work of a paramedic at the air ambulance service. 4) Practical training at HS on the ski slope. 5) Practical training at HS via ferrata. 6) Basic map work, map markers. 7) Practical training in searching and transporting patients using GPS.

|
Emergency medicine deals with the multidisciplinary issues of diagnosis, primary treatment and treatment of suddenly arising conditions of immediate threat to life and all suddenly arising diseases and injuries at the scene of the event, during transport of the affected by ground or air means of the medical rescue service and during the transition from pre-hospital to hospital care. It also deals with the planning, organization and management of rescue operations during mass disasters and accidents, as an activity of the mountain service. Thematically, it is closely connected with war medicine and forensic medicine. The subject is aimed at air rescue service, mountain service and topographic preparation.
The student will gain information and practical experience from topographical preparation, the activities of the air rescue service and the mountain service.
