Course content
Lectures: 1) The subject and methods of developmental psychology, theory of human mental development, basic characteristics of prenatal and the neonatal period 2) Infant and toddler period, pre-school period, child's entry into school, younger school period, adolescence 3) Early, middle and late adulthood, old age - cognitive changes, emotional changes, social inclusion, terminal stage of life 4) Developmental psychology vs. psychopathology pediatric psychology 5) Threat to mental development - abuse, neglect, psychological deprivation Exercises: 1) Prenatal and neonatal period 2) Infant and toddler period, pre-school period, younger school period, adolescence 3) Early, middle and late adulthood, old age, terminal stage of life 4) Developmental psychology vs. psychopathology pediatric psychology 5) Abuse, abuse, neglect, psychic deprivation

Learning outcomes
The course is designed as theoretical and practical. It provides information on the ontogenesis of the development of the psyche and the development of the psychosocial needs of the individual from birth to death, which leads to a better understanding of the patient's behavior, to his / her needs and problems that the disease brings to him and his family. It solves problems of psychology of ill individuals of all age groups.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test

Credit: - 80% participation in exercises, - teaching activity, - passing the test.
