Course content
Lectures: 1) Introduction and definition of management, goals of management. System approach in management. Planning. Strategic planning. Dimensions of the organization and its formation. 2) Definition of managerial work, managerial skills. Basics of managerial thinking and practice, managerial decision-making. Communication, specifics of communication in healthcare, principles of effective communication. 3) Process management. Project management. Nursing management. Team management, coaching. Creating groups, leadership. 4) Human resources, personnel management. Motivation, technically stimulation and motivation. Problem solving, critical thinking. 5) Quality management. Quality assessment. Quality indicators. Accreditation, certification. Standards, audits. 6) Evaluation of the quality and safety of services in the Czech Republic. Structure, management and operation of ZZ. Planning in nursing. Crisis management. 7) Recapitulation. Exercises: 1) Quality indicators. Internal audit (maintenance of documents and documents when reporting performance). 2) Root analysis of an undesirable event (causes and roots of misconduct, methods of preventing misconduct). 3) Assertive techniques.

Learning outcomes
The subject is designed as a theoretical-practical unit. Get to know the basic principles of healthcare facility management, including human resource management, system approach or crisis management. It applies theoretical principles of management to the management and management of nursing care for non-medical medical personnel.
Students will become familiar with the theory of quality management, methods of audit activity and basic elements of control.
