Course content
Lectures 1) Formulation of the research problem, research phases 2) Qualitative research methods, quantitative research methods, ethics of research work 3) Representative and non-representative research samples, methods of measurement and data acquisition 4) Statistical testing - parametric tests, non-parametric tests, correlations 5) Interpretation of research results, evaluation of scientific reports Exercises 1) Determination of research objectives, hypotheses and research questions 2) Qualitative and quantitative research methods 3) Determination of research sample, methods of measurement 4) Parametric and non-parametric testing 5) Interpretation of research results

Learning outcomes
The course is aimed at deepening knowledge in the field of writing qualification theses and conducting quality scientific research. It introduces students to the basic steps of the research process, appropriate research methods, processing and evaluation of research in non-medical fields. The course also includes an overview of basic statistical methods for the correct evaluation of research results.
