Learning outcomes
This course builds on the general overview of British and American Literature that students have gained during their studies in the English for Education bachelor's program. It familiarizes them with significant and successful authors of literary texts written in English, published between 1900 and the present day. The main aim is for students to gain a familiarity with the contemporary anglophone literary scene.

Prerequisites
Passing the courses Culture I: Introduction to Culture and Literature, Culture II: British Studies and Culture III: American Studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of group work, Oral presentation of self-study, Test

Active participation in class, presentations, written tests throughout the semester.
