Course content
!! WARNING!!! The course is not taught to full-time students if less than five people are enrolled. In such a case, full-time students can choose to join the part-time group or unenroll and take the course in the future. Full-time Students: academic text- fundamental characteristics, rules, quotations, structure stylistics - collocations, formal writing, cohesion, summary, paraphrasing presentations - typical features, structure, visualisation, language, style Part-time Students: 1) Introduction, Paraphrasing, Summary, Cohesion, Styles 2) Referencing, Quotation, Verbs, Cause and Effect 3) Presentations - Key Features, Signposting, Visualisation 4) In-class Presentations

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course are focused on the academic style of expression in both oral and written speech. The aim of the course is to equip students with reading skills to enable them to understand, analyze and critically evaluate different sources. It also focuses on intensive broadening of specific vocabulary. Students are supposed to be able to prepare, implement, and process their own projects in English as well as further discuss and express themselves in ESP closely related to their major.

!!! WARNING !!! The course is not taught to full-time students if less than five people are enrolled. In such a case, full-time students can choose to join the part-time group or to unenroll and do the course in the future. Full-time Students: Active participation, presentations, seminar paper. Attendance is compulsory, with a maximum of two unexcused absences. Submitting a summary of a chapter of the student's own bachelor's or master's thesis. Doing all online activities on time, throughout the semester (i.e. before their set dates). It is not possible to do these activities in the last week of the semester of after. Presenting one's bachelor's or master's thesis in English. Presentations should be approximately 15 minutes long. Credit is only awarded once the above requirements are met. Part-time Students: Except for compulsory attendance, all requirements are the same.
